A busy season is the only reason ~ A story stays untold.
I promise now, I’m planning how ~ To have the tale unfold!
‘Oh -3 soon started as ‘Oh -2 departed ~ With people in all directions.
Family gatherings, lots of happenings ~ the best to remember and mention.
His campfire was glowing, the wind it was blowing ~ Alec camped with Cadets in the snow.
With Lez on the hook as volunteer cook ~ The temperature twenty below!!

Scoring quick soccer kicks, Lez soon gets her fix ~ Of exercise and lots of great friends.
Lee is a busy man as he helps out to plan ~ A playground with meetings no end!
A quick trip with Mary, on planes and a ferry ~ We gave our mom a great big surprise.
With sight-seeing and walking, and our non-stop talking ~ and laughter ‘til tears in our eyes.
The laughter it dies, as we say our goodbyes ~ To Oma in the beginning of May.
Her ashes we spread in places she loved ~ From prairie to mountains away.
It was a time of passing for many this year ~ As we lost old friends far and near.
But as life continues on, it didn’t take long ~ To share time with others so dear.
A May graduation and much celebration ~ Our Aaron did finish Grade 12.
A mechanic bound and a job quite sound ~ Into the working world he did delve.
Alec worked, making money – his summer was sunny ! ~ With cousins he had a good time.
A grand ol’ event – Hill Reunion – we spent ~ A weekend with family so fine!
A party we planned – a reunion at hand ~ To celebrate Janie being Seventy.
The cousins arrive, the house is alive ~ With love, laughter and joy a-plenty.
As lives unfold, and the stories we told ~ It’s easy to see we’re related!
What took us so long to see ties so strong!! For that weekend - my thanks – tho belated!
As fall comes around, there starts a new sound ~ with drum set – it’s Alec – you bet!
The sticks they do fly – the volume real high ~ and Smoky’s now hiding, poor pet!
Aaron is single, the pocketbook full ~ He’s eyeing a new motorcycle.
As I moan about dirt bikes, watching two boys – no Three! They keep being encouraged by Eichel!
With a slide on the knee, "I’ll back off" says Lee ~ He’s now building bookcases plenty.
With projects and books, and our stuff tucked in nooks ~ The shelves won’t stay very long empty.
With quilts on the go, tons more pictures galore! ~ We gear up for another merry season.
Should your travels once more, find you at our front door ~ remember no need for a reason!!
The fire is hot, there’s soup in the pot ~ we welcome our friends very dear.
Remembering those who’ve put up with my prose, and to the rest have another great year!
Lee, Lez, Aaron and Alec
Smoky the Cat too!
