In December of 2003, these four quilts, 1 pillow and over 90 drawstring carry bags
were donated to the Zebra Child
Protection Centre. Little did we know it would be the
beginning of many more quilts to be made, many hours of quilting and comfort to
each other, while making quilted hugs for others!
A note from the Director...
"I was at court today with a little girl who has to testify ...she and her mom do not have two pennies to rub together ... I told the Victim Services
Advocate to make sure this girl goes home today with one of your quilts (I had
stocked
some in our child-friendly waiting room at court exactly for this sort of
situation).
So, thanks! You are helping to make a difference in a very comforting way to a young victim! "
As the year 2004 gets underway, more fabric arrives on our doorsteps - so more quilts are designed and made!!
In April, the group presented 10 quilts, 5 fabric books and one teddy bear to the society!

November 2004 brings a new quilter to the group - Erna - who at 84 has made 10 quilts for the project!
The group hands over 23 quilts, 1 quillow and 3 stuffed zebra toys to the society.
Spring 2010 has the quilters still making and delivering quilts.
Erna has made over 100 quilts for Zebra! She has been honoured by the Zebra centre too!
The Primrose Quilters have made about 250 quilts !
