Threads-BC The Canadian Maple Leafs
OZ-Edm
Well, between me putting the word out and people responding to the original, and never having corresponded with each other before, after a few notes, we get ....

"Colleen !! I'm not getting any response from my canadian purple ladies (well only one directly, one on the chat room, and one from you but she hasn't gotten back to me!! Is it something I said??    Lez"

THEN... the responses started rolling in...         "I am a canadian purple lady.......what do you want me to respond to please?"       "I'll be glad to help with this project. Who else have you heard from?"      "Sure, I'll do the hand stitching. That's my favourite part of making the quilt." "Fabric - anything / type goes? Batiks, hand dyes or prints in the colours mentioned before ... did I miss an email about narrowing down the kinds of fabrics used?"  " What is the deadline for Kristine to have the blocks by?"

So many questions.... the Canadians just need to come up with our theme and we can start rolling!!   Log Cabin? Friendship Star variations? A sampler with the bird from each province? or flower? (great horned owl and wild rose from Alberta)...

"I am a published applique instructor with 25 years quilting.............  and so applique is fine with me if that is the way we go. "      "Please...no applique! LOL"

OH OH - this isn't going to be as easy as I thought!!

Then Kristine comes thru....

"Theme......... okay well we could do a maple leaf quilt, all pieced, different fabrics, that block is on Quilters Cache........ fast and easy, lots of fall colors. "

RIGHT ON!!!

Week 2.... What should we do?????
