The Bamford Collection Sewing Studio

Mom Worel's quilt - designer - Mary Worel, quilter Janie Worel.

An exact replica of the window on the north wall in the stairwell at Haldane House in Regina.

The house was built in 1905 by George W. Barr, a lawyer.  It was purchased in 1950 by Dr. Morris and Jacqui Shumiatcher and used as Dr. Shumiatcher's legal office until ...1999? (I need to verify)

Having seen an article in the Edmonton Journal newspaper, there was a photo in the background of a very very similar window.

Jennifer Cook Bobrovitz, an Archivist-Curator at Lougheed House in Calgary, Alberta was featured in an article in our local newspaper, The Edmonton Journal,  in August 2006.  Behind her photo was one of the windows in Lougheed House - and it looked so much like the window - same style - as the one in the house mom worked in.  She says the windows in Lougheed House were built  in 1891 by McCausland.  Further research however has led to a possible generic window as noted in an email from Andrew McCausland  ....

Dear Madam,

In 1905 there were 37 stained glass firms that advertised in the Anglican Journal. The type of window that you have is what is known as catalogue glass, ie it was made from a pre designed window. Thousands of this type of window was made. It could have been made by anyone. In 1905 Robert McCausland only produced windows from designs that he made up personally. Your window was not made by Robert McCausland Limited.

Thanks

So - we don't know who made the window.
